Niccy Pallant
Niccy holds a Bachelor of Education (Arts) and brings over 30 years of experience as an educator in rural, remote, and urban Australian and International schools. A passionate teacher and facilitator, Niccy is now a full-time practicing artist and workshop facilitator.
As a Multidisciplinary Artist, Niccy specialises in drawing, printmaking and ceramics, creating meaningful objects in earthenware, terracotta, and porcelain. Her relief print series called ‘Quirky Australiana’, captures her unique upbringing with native flowers in nostalgic vessels. She has been a finalist in major sculpture events and trained in plaster carving, geometry, and leather-craft during her apprenticeship in Tetouan, Morocco, with The Royal College of the Artisan.
An entrepreneur at heart, Niccy has organised projects like XposeYa!, a youth arts festival, and a touring arts event for the Adelaide Fringe. Her previous publishing experience includes a program she co-wrote appearing in a National Directory ‘Teaching Prosocial Behaviour to Adolescents’, as a columnist to the Port Lincoln Times and her artwork has been published in Morocco World News.

Donna Gordge
Donna has been an arts educator for most of the last thirty years, and gets real joy out of sharing her knowledge. Since completing a Bachelor of Education (Visual Arts) at the University of Melbourne, she has taught in secondary schools, community education programs, TAFE and university. Donna now works as a practising artist from her home studio in Camden Park, South Australia, and teaches creative workshops locally and interstate. She has also been involved in Creative Recovery programs for bushfire and flood-affected people in Victoria and South Australia.
Donna’s work frequently takes the form of artist’s books and sculptural objects, and tends to include textile elements or processes, although using non-traditional materials. The themes of her work relate broadly to domestic relationships, memory and identity. Donna’s artwork has been published in the Collaborations issue of Rabbit Journal (alongside Caroline Reid’s poetry) and in It’s A People Place, produced by the City of Marion as part of a community-wide collaborative storytelling project. This is the first time Donna’s writing has been published.
