My little hummock – the creative exchange workbook.
I feel very fortunate to have created a monthly review and reflection time for my sacred artistic practice.
Yes, we have been facilitating groups for the last 6 years but I have had to do the homework. I’ve not come from a pragmatic path and often choose the next shiney bright thing so I’ve needed a pausing place.
Sharing and ‘reporting’ my activity each month for the group has transformed my habits.
I use a couple of methods to ‘check’ I am working in keeping with my values. I record all the months activities (diary and photos) and document the ‘arty’ choices and endeavours. This culminates in a visual record and really helps with my annual review.
Sometimes I find I can’t get into the studio. I just simply cannot prioritise myself above all the pending demands. The monthly review at least calls me into this space once a month.
Eventually the hummock of the workbook has imbedded a regular and disciplined practice.
